Because liposuction targets specific areas of the body, liposuction prices vary accordingly.
It is not uncommon for men and women to have disproportionate amounts of fat in specific areas: Some prime examples are the waist ("love handles"), thighs ("saddlebags") and arms ("flabby triceps"). Liposuction is a safe, effective long-term solution to this dilemma. While liposuction is not a substitute for dieting and exercise, the destruction of fat cells in a particular area will eliminate local fat accumulation, and prevent it from reoccurring in the future.
Liposuction prices are determined according to the size of different body areas: the larger the area, the higher the cost of treatment. Large areas usually contain more fat and tend to be more time-consuming than smaller areas.
Most doctors will offer a discount for each additional area. So having a "package" treatment is much more economical than multiple trips to the doctor. However, not all doctors will count areas in the same way. Upper and lower abdominals are generally counted as two separate areas; right and left hips or thighs are usually counted as one.
